Hi! I am a Spanish/Norwegian viola player, chamber musician and pedagogue dedicated to teaching violin and viola both individually and in group lessons to children and adults and performing in different chamber music projects. Through a Dalcroze inspired method and a personalised teaching approach, I am passionate about giving my students a complete music education in a creative, curious and collaborative environment fostering their technical, communicative and musical skills. As a violist and chamber musician I believe in connecting with the audience by turning every piece into a story with contrasting characters and emotions with which they will relate.

At the moment, I am studying my master degree in viola performance at Maastricht Conservatory and I have a bachelor degree in music pedagogy and viola from University of Stavanger.

I have been playing violin since I was 6 years old, and I grew up learning music in a group setting. Thanks to that background I know the benefits of playing and progressing together with other students, and how important it is to have that community around. As a teacher I have experience teaching children and teenagers ages 6 to 15, as well as amateur violinists and adults starting the viola and violin from scratch. I believe that by doing chamber music from early stages you learn skills, such as communication, empathy, and respect which are essential to the development of oneself in our society. I offer lessons in Spanish, English, French and Norwegian.

I also have a blog called "The Power of the Brain in the Practice Room" where I take you through my master research about mental practice. Based on scientific evidence about what we know about the brain and the learning process. I will talk about different practice strategies and share resources.

The past few years I have performed and grown in different ensembles such as Bergen Youth Chamber Orchestra, Edda String Quartet and Malia Duo, with whom I have performed and played masterclasses in Norway, Germany, Sweden and Iceland. I think that by working in chamber music groups and developing musically and technically with others, one gets a chance to explore and understand music in its very collaborative essence.
